Character and Fitness Agreement

Ethos Reports LLC (“Ethos”) is a privately held limited liability company organized under the laws of the State of Georgia with its principal place of business at its headquarters in Duluth, Georgia. Ethos is a private investigation firm specializing in personal Bar Application background checks and reporting. Ethos is not affiliated with the state Bar of any state or territory, nor is Ethos affiliated with any other governmental body of any kind including but not limited to the federal government, any individual state governments, territories, municipalities, agencies, officers, directors, or elected officials.

Client has authorized Ethos to conduct a detailed personal background check on Client’s behalf for the purpose of obtaining all available information pertinent to Client’s Bar Application. Ethos agrees to compile this information and provide it to Client in the Ethos Report® depending upon the exact plan Client purchases.

The Ethos Report® is designed to aid Client in filling out his or her individual Bar Application and is neither designed nor intended to be relied upon completely by Client. Ethos, its officers, agents, successors, and assigns are not responsible for any inaccuracies, omissions, or misstatements in the Ethos Report® and Client agrees to hold Ethos, its agents, officers, successors, and assigns harmless for any such inaccuracies, omissions, or misstatements.

It is ultimately the responsibility of Client to completely and accurately fill out his or her individual Bar Application. Ethos does not guarantee that Client will be granted clearance by the state Board of Bar Examiners in the state in which Client is applying, even if any and all information is accurately and fully disclosed in Client’s Bar Application.

Ethos is not a law firm and does not provide legal representation to its clients. Should Client wish to seek the advice of an attorney, Ethos can provide a list of attorneys, upon Client’s request, but Ethos does not warrant the services of any such attorneys.

Disputes

All disputes shall be decided through binding arbitration with such arbitration is to be held in Fulton County, Georgia. All claims and procedures are to be governed under Georgia law. Client agrees to waive its right to form a class action against Ethos. Client further agrees to provide Ethos with 30 days’ written notice of its intention to sue prior to commencing any formal proceedings against Ethos.
